Anabilim dalımızda tüm lisansüstü eğitim Mersin Üniversitesi İleri Teknoloji Eğitim, Araştırma ve Uygulama Merkezi (MEİTAM) çatısı altında gerçekleştirilmektedir. Bu merkezde çok sayıda laboratuvar ve seminer salonları yer almaktadır. Anabilim dalımızda dersler bu seminer salonlarında, tüm tez çalışmaları da uygulamalı olarak laboratuvarlarda gerçekleştirilmektedir.

Hedefimiz endüstriye projeler yaparak nitelikli lisansüstü öğrenciler yetiştirmek ve bu öğrencilerin akademik hayata ve/veya endüstriye kazandırılmasını sağlamaktır. Lisansütü eğitim programında uygulanacak eğitim programıyla, üretim faaliyetlerinde bulunan kuruluşların rekabet koşullarına olumlu katkılarda bulunabilen, sanayi kuruluşlarında, araştırma kuruluşlarında veya akademik kurumlarda başarılı bir kariyer için bilgiye ulaşabilen ve mesleki açıdan gelişme gösterebilen, etik değerlerin ve küresel koşulların farkında olarak katkıda bulunabilen mezunlar yetiştirmek temel hedeftir. Bu amaca uygun olarak yetiştirilecek öğrencilerin uluslararası standartlara göre eğitilmesi, problemlere lisansüstü seviyede çözüm üretecek, bilimsel araştırmaya yatkın ve endüstriyel problemlere çözüm üretecek şekilde uygulamalı araştırmaya yönlendirilmeleri bu programın temel amacıdır.
